The design revolves around the concept of a self-guided experience. Customers use technology within the store to interact with and learn about Saatva’s products at their own pace. Technology concepts include a six-by-ten-foot changing digital display wall, which allows customers to experience Saatva mattresses in different settings. Information kiosks beside each bed display provide interactive access to the collection. The showroom design aims to create a tactile environment, bridging the gap between online shopping and physical interaction. Customers can explore products in person, engaging their senses and experiencing the quality firsthand. The store is highly customized and immersive, allowing customers to discover various possibilities and their own unique sleep stories. While customers enjoy the modern retail technology experience, MagicINFO’s Analytics solution helps Saatva analyze those customers’ behaviors to display the most relevant content customized for their needs.

The store is customized in just about every way. The attention to detail involved in the store design reflects the attention and care given to the products and customer service, from the Saatva beds and mattresses to the millwork built-ins with integrated technology to the sculptural tree at the center of the store. Fortuny fabrics pair with Saatva’s organic bedding, and a variety of accessories from Arteriors and lighting from Y Lighting help create a sleep-inspired atmosphere. Silvery trees form a canopy under the ceiling’s gentle curves. Cove lighting elements create an ambient glow throughout the space. Luxury vinyl tile covers the floor. Soft fabrics and floor-to-ceiling mirrors punctuate the walls throughout, creating a unified environment from start to finish. In keeping with Saatva’s “made in America” philosophy, interior materials and finishes, including the architectural lighting, were manufactured in the U.S.A. Despite a level change in the space, the flow of the viewing room experience remains uninterrupted. A step, ramp, and handrail are incorporated discreetly. The unique space layout posed challenges related to ceiling heights. Coordination among various design disciplines was crucial to maximize ceiling height while accommodating essential elements (electrical, mechanical, and light fixtures). The back-of-house area is planned strategically to separate different zones (break room, office, storage, restrooms, IT, and electrical).
